To let you go,
for I - too fragile.
To hold you tight is to break me.
To watch you intently
is to further take you
away from my sight.
To face you is to hide
behind my put-on smile.
To reach you, to talk to you.
I - too fragile.
To take a hold of you
takes a need to let you go.

The Return of the Prodigal Son
While having our Action Group with the Sisters' Staffers, our facilitator, Miming, read to us a prolific reflection on the painting of Rembrandt on "The Return of the Prodigal Son." I could personally feel the soul of each character as they were individually described. When asked whom we could relate much among the characters, I could not help but remember a prayer I uttered to God:
For all things that I am.
For all things I am not and cannot be.
For who I am and who am not.
For all things I can do,
cannot do, have not done...
For how little I have to offer,
is already the most genuine of what I could give.
Receive O Lord,
how little this love may be.
I have nothing more.
All else, is by Your grace!
Amen.
